Abbey Roesner earned her BFA in Dance from the Juilliard School in 2006 and was recently accepted into the Dance MFA program at Hollins University. She has danced with a wide range of choreographers and companies throughout United States and Canada including Armitage Gone! Dance, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, Azsure and Artists, Brooklyn Ballet, Gleich Dances, MorDance, and Olney Children’s Ballet Theater.
In 2013 Abbey had the pleasure of performing alongside New York City Ballet Dancers Sara Mearns and Amar Ramasar in the New York Philharmonic’s original production of “A Dancer’s Dream.”
Other recent performances have included Karole Armitage’s “On the Nature of Things,” a world premiere at the American Museum of Natural History; live dance introducing the J.C.Penney finalists at the 2014 North American Hair Styling Awards in Las Vegas; and as a dancer in the installation of Jannis Kounellis’ “Da Inventor sul Posto” at New York’s MoMA.
